Self-Love 6 Ways

It is great to remind those around us that we care for them, and through small gestures and kind acts we can give back. We must remember our own well-being and health, and prioritize self-love as well.

Finding the balance between loving others and loving ourselves is extremely important. Here are 6 empowering ways to express love to yourself!

Self-Kindness – Be kind to yourself. Remind yourself that you are human, grow from mistakes, and allow yourself to be molded into the best form of yourself daily. Be patient with your growth, and understand that it does not come overnight.

Self-Acceptance– Embrace and accept that person you are. Acknowledge the areas in your life you wish to improve and improve them. Ultimately, understand you can not change the person you are, rather you can shape the person you wish to become.

Self- Positive Talk– Use positive words to build yourself up and abstain from words that deconstruct your worth.

Self-Care –Take care of yourself physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Do not neglect the basic needs that are required in order for you to function at your prime. Being healthy goes far past what you simply put in your body… it also matters the time you put into taking care of your total self.

Self-Encouragement– Encourage yourself to keep growing, learning, and loving yourself and others. This will help to build your self-trust up and provide you with a hope-filled future.

Self-Empowerment– Empowerment is defined as, “ authority or power is given to someone to do something”. So what are you going to do with the power that has been given to you?

Only when we learn to recognize and accept the person that we are, that we able to fully appreciate others around us.
